A VERY FINE GOLD & SILVER INLAID BRONZE FINIAL, ZHOU DYNASTY.
Eastern Zhou Dynasty (ca. 475-221 BC)
Elaborate geometric and curvilinear patterns cast into the base bronze, depicting a stylized bird with a long tail with smaller animal on its back, extensively inlaid with gold and silver with eyes embellished with semi-precious stones.
Extremely fine example of the craftsmanship of the Warring States Period artifacts.
Metallographic analysis was conducted to authenticate period.
Dimension:3 3/4in high x 7in. long
