Gold on Quartz Unknown Mine, Timmins area Cochrane District, Ontario Canada This Canadian Gold on Quartz specimen features a two-tone matrix, with not only a white coloration but also a gray hue over the rocky surface. Large patches of sharp, yellow and crystalline Gold cover much of the granular host. Specific Gravity analysis indicates this rock contains about 2.5 troy ounces of net Gold. It hails from the Cobalt Area of Ontario's Timiskaming District, known as a prolific producer of Silver. The size of the association makes it rather dramatic, with Gold spreading across the elongated surface of the rock which measures over 6 inches (15 cm) in length. This is a rather hearty offering from a rugged location. Overall Measurements: 6.30 x 2.56 x 2.47 inches (16.00 x 6.50 x 6.28 cm), weighs 834 grams (2.56 oz t) Provenance: Ex.
