Wonderful stained glass window from a church in southern Germany, made in the second half of the 19th century. Attributed to/possibly made by the painter Matthias Schneider for Royal Bavarian. Recently professionally restored by a certified stained glass professional restorer. In perfect condition. The piece needs to be picked-up in Riemst, Belgium. In can also be delivered within a radius of 200 kilometres of Riemst. Large beautiful historical window with a depiction of Mary Immaculata. Originates from a church in south Germany, made in the second half of the 19th century. Pressumably by ROYAL BAVARIAN court stained-glass painter MATTHIAS SCHNEIDER in Regensburg. Stained glass, partly painted in grisaille. Red overlay glass. Stone base with the scroll ‘Sct Maria’. Above that, Mary in a wide blue robe over red standing on a crescent, stepping on the head of a snake. A pattern made of vines in the background as a frame. Dimensions include the wooden frame: 220 x 105 cm. Condition: Recently restored by a professional stained glass restorer.
