Pair of Grand Tour bronze two-handled vases, after the antique model by Michele d'Amodio, each with two foliate-wrapped handles, the bodies decorated with relief scenes of centaurs carrying putti amongst and wooded landscapes with architectural capriccios, the socle bases with acanthus and egg-and-dart motifs, raised on square red marble bases. 6.75” H x 6.5” diameter. Provenance: Removed from the Fifth Avenue residence of the MacArthur Family. Note: Similar examples sold Christie's April 23, 2008 lot 471.
