Greek Corinthian Pottery Aryballos w/ Hoplites
**First Time At Auction**
Ancient Greece, Corinth, ca. 7th to 6th century BCE. A well preserved wheel-thrown pottery aryballos of a near-miniature form with a delightfully spherical body, a round but stable base, a squat neck, a discoid rim with an overhanging lip, and a strap handle joining rim to shoulder. The cream-hued exterior provides an elegant ground atop which black-painted linear motifs are presented. The neck is encircled with a radiating band of tongues and the rim with concentric circles. Size: 2.45" W x 2.45" H (6.2 cm x 6.2 cm)
