Greek Polychrome Terracotta Plaque of Horse and Rider, c. 4th - 3rd Century B.C.
With the horse galloping to the right, wearing a bridle and mane bound in a topknot, a nude enemy combatant trampled under the horse’s raised forelegs, his rider with right arm raised probably to strike the enemy with a spear, wearing a muscled cuirass, his chalmys fanned out behind his helmeted head.
