Greek Pottery Amphora Handle Fragments (3)

Greece, Rhodian, Hellenistic Period, ca. 3rd to 2nd century BCE. A trio of hand-built amphora handle fragments with wide bases and curved profiles covered in a pale orange slip. Each fragment bears a stamped name, one of which translates to "Thomas Yakinthos," and two that are somewhat illegible. Size of largest (Thomas): 3.875" L x 3.375" W (9.8 cm x 8.6 cm).

Provenance: private Carlton collection, Los Angeles, California, USA, acquired between 1965 and 1980
