HANS SPETH

(1897 - 1985) German general of artillery, Chief of Staff of the LIV. Army Corps and the 18th Army, later commanding the 28th Jager Division. A Knights Cross recipient. Small S.P., 1.25 x 2 in. b/w, a contemporary photograph showing a chest-up view of the general in uniform, prominently wearing his Knight's Cross. Speth signs at the bottom right of the face, and signs again on the verso with the date "4.6.83". Signature on the face very faint, else very good.
