Benoît-Pierre Emery is a prominent designer of Hermès scarves and has had a successful career in fashion and design. Educated at the École des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and the Royal College of Art in London, he began his career as an independent graphic designer for Comme des Garçons and LVMH, among others. In 2000, he founded the design studio Le Cabinet, working with clients such as Arte and Kenzo.

In 2003 Emery turned her career towards fashion accessories, launching her own brand of silk scarves, Les Soieries Modernes, produced by Hermès subsidiary Ateliers AS. His first collaboration with Hermès came in 2005, when he designed a scarf to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the perfume 24 Faubourg. This led to a long and successful relationship with Hermès, where he designed over 20 scarves and other products. Some of his most famous designs are Brides rebelles, Cheval de légende and ex-Libris en camouflage.

In addition to his work with Hermès, Emery was also artistic director of Kenzo, creating their silk scarves for twelve years. He also designed several porcelain series for Hermès, including the iconic Mosaïque au 24. In 2013, he was appointed creative director of La Table Hermès and Objets, where, among other things, he launched the Equilibre collection at the Milan furniture fair in 2016.

Emery continues to design scarves and has built up an impressive collection of vintage silk scarves, with a book about the collection in the works.Show more
