Austrian landscape and flower painter. Born in the monastery Louka in Znojmo. Pupil of Hugo Darnaut and Ludwig Halauska. Many works came into the art collections of the imperial court. Contemporary of Tina Blau, Olga Wisinger-Florian and Marie Egner.
The landscape and flower painter Hermine von Janda was born in 1854 near Znojmo. She received lessons from Hugo Darnaut, who ran his famous school for landscape painting in Plankenberg Castle, and from the landscape painter Ludwig Halauska. A large number of her works ended up in the art collection of the imperial court. As a committed personality, she was also a committee member of the Association of Writers and Artists in Vienna.
