HIMMLER CALLS HITLER YOUTH INTO THE SS-RESERVES
An increasingly scarce document, 1p. 4to., Amstetten, Nov. 6, 1944, sent to a German mayor calling upon all 16-year-old members of the Hitler Youth to join the SS Reserve toward the end of the war. In part: 'As the commander of the reserve army, the Reichsführer SS ordered the 1928 class in 4-day training camps...I now need an exact list of all male members of this year from your community in order to convene the class of 1928 without any problems...' The reverse bears a mailing address, 'Deutsches Reich' postage stamp, and 'Hitler-Jugend' inkstamp. Two file holes, else fine.
