Haida Spoon
Haida Spoon
Length: 9 ½ in (24.1 cm)
Mountain goat (Oreamnos americanus) horn
Condition Report:
Good condition overall for an object of this age and type. Some minor marks, nicks, chips, scratches and abrasions. The separately carved handle and bowl originally attached or reinforced with a metal pin, which remains but does not hold the two parts together due to some old losses to the bottom rear edge of the handle, at the point where it joins the bowl. The handle is now glued back to the bowl (the latter fitting into the hollow recess of the handle).
Provenance:
Abraham Rosman and Paula Rubel, New York
