Hanging Scroll Depicting Wisteria Vines, China, Tian Dengwu (1897-1973), inscribed with date (1933) and signed with seal reading "Dengwu hua yin," ink and color on paper, 41 1/2 x 13 1/2 in.

Provenance: Descended in the family of Dr. Marshall Hertig, an internationally noted medical entomologist who conducted research on disease bearing insects at the Peking Union Medical College, from 1923-1928, his wife Edwina Smiley Hertig, and their son Bruce Allerton Hertig, to the present owner.
