Johann (Hans) Drinneberg (Germany, 1852-1932). An antique stained leaded glass window pan church and or secular relic. The work features a Renaissance portrayal of a winged Archangel Knight in armor, evoking iconic figures like Michael, Gabriel, or Raphael. Signed "H DRINNEBERG KARLSRUHE 1901" at the bottom left-center. The glass is elegantly presented in a wood frame. Provenance: This item originated from a distinguished auction event hosted by Sotheby's in October 1995, designated as LOT 3648/3 at the Neues Schloss (New Castle), Baden-Baden, Germany. It was a part of the royal collection belonging to Margrave Max von Baden (1933-2022), a prominent figure in European aristocracy and the first cousin of Prince Charles III. This auction showcased a selection of valuable items from his esteemed collection. .
