. The Bertoia stool is among the most notable and appreciated designer creations of the 50s. Like Mies van der Rohe before him, the designer Harry Bertoia found inspiration in using an everyday material such as steel, and enhancing it to create a work of art.
. He chose the tubular profile for the base and to create the stool he used a resistant metallic mesh by modelling the steel rod. To increase comfort it is equipped with a thin padding to rest on the seat, in such a shape so as to not alter its curved profile.
