Heart Shaped Murano Ruby Red Art Glass Vase Italy
Small Heart Shaped hand-blown red-white Sommerso art glass vase, Murano ruby encased in clear glass with white swirl, original design by Antonio Salviati, Murano, 1990s. The perfection of all details indicates the genuine Murano masterwork; however, it is unmarked: the original paper label is missing, therefore, the authentication cannot be confirmed definitely.
Salviati was founded in 1859 in Venice, by Antonio Salviati (1816-1890) who was an Italian glass manufacturer and founder of the Salviati family firm; where master glassmakers were manufacturing incredible pieces and decor using the renowned and incomparable Murano glass. The same utmost attention to detail and unmistakable feel of artisanal quality are still employed today in a production that combines large scale techniques with an exclusively handmade process; this allows every piece to carry both the timeless look of the traditional Murano glass accessories with modern designs that fit contemporary style and preferences.
This heart vase is c. 3.1/2" [8.9cm] tall, c.3.1/2" X 2.1/2" [6.4cm] wide. The opening is only 3/4" [1.9cm] across; hardly visible very tiny chip at the bottom edge [see photo]; otherwise very good / fine condition.
