Heinrich Heine known as Henri Heine (1797-1856) , German writer. L. A. S. , Boulogne-sur-Mer, 22 November [1835] , 1p octavo (approximate dimensions: 18*11cm) . Unpublished letter to Théodore Mangin, father of Arthur Mangin (1824-1887) , the famous popularizer of science. “Mon cher Monsieur Mangin ! Je suis très chagrin qu’une attaque de migraine ne me permet pas de diner avec vous aujourd’hui ; ce mal me donne une double souffrance en me privant d’un très grand plaisir. Mille amitiés. Votre tout dévoué Henri Heine. ce 22 nov”. Heine was then in Boulogne-sur-Mer where Théodore Mangin was director of the posts. It was also at Mangin's house that Heine had his mail sent during this stay. VERY RARE LETTER from the greatest German writer of the nineteenth century, unpublished, not reported on the Heinrich Heine Portal at the time we put this document on sale (they list only one letter to Julie Mangin and another to Arthur Mangin) . This letter was presented, along with two other letters, in the gazette of the Amateur d'Autographes Confiné (Henri Heine: three letters to Théodore Mangin. Gazette "L'Amateur d'Autographes Confiné" n°15, May 2020.) Heine's letters on the market are particularly rare, few appear, especially unpublished ones like ours.
