Hellblazer #134 - title page, original comic art - First edition - (1999)

Extremely rare: the original comic art for one of the most recognizable comics from the series "Hellblazer" #134, page 1 - title page. The artwork by Higgins, one of the greatest comic cartoonists of all time (pencil drawing - blue pencil - and ink) . Additionally signed by him. John Higgins (born 1949) is an English comic book artist and writer. After this he worked steadily at 2000 AD and joined the British Invasion in the mid-eighties—notably doing the colouring on Moore's Watchmen and Batman: The Killing Joke, a job he got through colouring Steve Dillon's art on Alan Moore's ABC Warriors story. This led to more work in the American market, although he has kept working on British titles too especially with Judge Dredd over 20 years. In 2017 a collection of his artwork was exhibited at the Victoria Gallery & Museum in Liverpool. On the margins numerous handwritten notes. Vignette elements stuck on. Size: 28 x 43 cm.
