Hendrik van den Helm (1811- 1889) - A pair of Dutch marine paintings with sailing boats
Two excellent marine paintings were executed c. in 1840s by listed Dutch seascape painter Hendrik van den Helm (1811- Rotterdam - 1889) . He studied by G. de Meyer and J. C. Schotel, since 1839 member of Amsterdam Academy. A few his works are in Teyler museum Haarlem.

Inscription: one of two signed on the lower edge indistinctly.
Technique: each oil on wood. Original gold-plated frames.
Measurements: each unframed w 13 3/4" x h 9 7/8" (35 x 25 cm) , framed w 23 3/4" x h 19 7/8" (60,5 x 50,5 cm) .
Condition: both in perfect condition.
