INFORMATION: With this original lithograph the artist represents the technique of cut-out papers which played an important role at the end of his life. Bedridden, disabled, but "alive", Matisse can no longer paint or practice techniques that require diluents (water or oil) . He then invented the technique of cut-out papers, which he could, in his bed, cut with scissors, papers which his assistants placed and glued in the places desired by the artist.
