Comprises 1. Silk campaign ribbon imprinted with four vignettes. The first vignette depicts two horses surrounding a shield containing a Navy ship. The second vignette features a heraldic eagle holding a banner with text "His Country's Friend In The Hour of Danger". The third vignette bears a bust of Clay with American flags and his caption "PRIDE OF AMERICA, PEOPLE'S CHOICE." The fourth vignette boasts Lady Liberty seated with an American flag, shield, and helmet and is captioned "PROTECTOR OF AMERICAN INDUSTRY" [2 7/8 x 6 7/8 inches]. Toning, foxing, and fraying at top and bottom edges. 2. Silk mourning ribbon imprinted at top "'Faithful even unto Death.'" This ribbon features three vignettes, from top to bottom: federal eagle, "Clay" surrounded by laurel wreath emanating rays, and figure mourning beside funerary monument with Clay's "June 29, 1852" death date on base. [3 1/8 x 7 7/8 inches]. Light toning, fraying at top and bottom edges, and hole at upper center with slight discoloration, not effecting central image.
