... Landscape-oriented images are associated with scenery. Any horizontal line is interpreted as a horizon. Unfortunately, that’s just the way it is - it always throws you off.
I always wanted to avoid the landscape, but boom, boom, there’s that horizon again. Then I get annoyed and try to break it. …I don’t know why I continually return to landscape motifs, why I keep removing the figures, why such solitude must prevail.
