Herbert Hoover Signed Book Set

Desirable first edition book set: An American Epic, Volumes I-IV. All first editions. Chicago: Henry Regnery Company, 1959-1964. Hardcovers with dust jackets and slipcase, 6.5 x 9.5. Signed and inscribed inside the third volume in fountain pen, "To My Good Friend William F. Knowland, from Herbert Hoover." In fine condition, with light wear and scuffing to the dust jackets, price clipped flaps to the first three volumes, and some edge damage to the slipcase. Knowland was a Republican politician and newspaper publisher who represented California in the Senate from 1945 to 1959, serving as Majority Leader from August 1953 to January 1955.
