Heuer. Special Chronosplit Quartz Wristwatch in Steel Made for Ferrari, Reference 100.703 3 With Box, Booklet and Additional Glass
Model: Chronosplit Quartz
Reference: 100.703-3
Case Material: Stainless steel
Bracelet Material: Stainless steel
Year: 1970s
Movement: Quartz
Case N°: 331190
Dimensions: 40 mm x 42 mm
Signed: Case, dial, movement
Accessories: Box, booklet, tag and additional glass

In 1975 in the Heuer’s catalogues were introduced the Chronosplit range, a combination LCD/LED solid-state quartz watch that looked like nothing else the company had produced before. The choice of the Swiss brand was not that of using an existing case to give life to quartz watch but instead chose to showcase the new technology in a space-age design watch that looked like nothing else. The Chronosplit is a pretty powerful creation and, as the name implies, the watch had two displays, each powered by its own movement. The present watch is an interesting specimen of ref.100.703-3 in nice condition and with still the original box, booklet and additional glass. The stainless steel sinuous case has an integrated bracelet and reminds in some details the lot 9999 in this auction. Moreover, the present specimen is even more desirable given the Ferrari logo between the two screens.
