Holzmann Surf Casting Reel

A marked example with scalloped edge hard rubber head plate that reads "E. Holzmann - Bklyn" and a dished rubber tail pate that reads "E. Holzmann - Bklyn Pat. Oct 31, '05 - Apr. 16. '07", though both are very faint from past polishing. Equipped with the patented automatic drag, this 3" diameter "raised pillar" frame reel (measured pillar to pillar) has a spool width of 1 5/8", and has an off-set foot with slight angler modifications in the form of rounding. With a small brass arbor spool and tiny set-screw to keep the screw-off head cap securely in place, a VG condition example due to a replaced free-spool lever on the head cap rim.
