Condition Report:
Overall the condition of the wood is good with dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. The sculpture is made in sections and there are visible stable joints throughout, some are open. There spine of the book is lost. There is minor non active worming to the wood throughout. Losses to the projecting feet. Losses to Matthew's proper right fingers. Remnants of original paint throughout with various losses and craquelure throughout. Some minor losses to the edges and various small chips. Minor stable splitting to the wood consistent with the material.
