LARGE ICON WITH DEESIS, THE MOTHER OF GOD AND SELECTED SAINTS I took a lot of pictures with details of the icon because it is very difficult to photograph, but all the figures are almost undamaged (heavily restored) Some photos are brighter but this is just a light effect. Icon has a beautiful patina as in the first photo. There is almost no damage on the painting only natural paint cracks, but there are a lot of restorations. Painting is made by layered application of tempera paints: the faces of saints shine with kindness and calmness, and a prayerful detachment. The other details of the icon, such as polychromic creases and decorative elements of garments, colored by crushed gold, are also painted with the same degree of precision and definition.
