Notes: Portrait F. is number 6 of 29 letter marked portraits issued by Picasso's 'own' Cercle d' Art. The publishing house, supported by the artist from the beginning, played a key role in Picasso's aim to interest the widest possible audience. The lithographs were created between 1969 and 1972 in collaboration with the French artist Marcel Salinas, known for his printmaking skills. However, Picasso was closely involved in the printing process. Each of the prints was hand-numbered and plate-signed after the original gouache by Picasso from the series Portraits Imaginaires [Imaginary Portraits].

Provenance: Private collection; Lionel Gallery, Amsterdam Dimensions: Image size 64 x 49.5 cm., frame size 95 x 78 cm. Artist Name: PICASSO, Pablo (Spanish 1881 - 1973) - after.
