Imperial Chinese Incense Burner, Daoguang

An Imperial Chinese blue and white porcelain incense burner with a Daoguang mark and of the period. The body features the 8 Buddhist emblems among lotus tracery, and a Greek key border around the rim. The 2 handles feature lotus tracery with a Greek key border.

Dimensions: 11 1/4 inches tall X 11 inches wide; 28.6 cm tall X 27.9 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.

Condition:1 handle has been reattached; the other shows signs of repair, minor chip in the rim; minor firing defects.

Provenance: From a private collection in the Washington, DC area.
