Features finest old Russian diamonds and sapphires set in yellow gold.
Really an amazing jewel full of mysterious Russian history.
The set was made by a goldsmith with initials "??" ("A Sh") in St. Petersburg at a workshop of Ivan Ekimovich Morozov who in 1849 founded a firm "I.E.Morozov" (at the picture 8 you can see the original box and the sign that says in Russian "I. E. Morozov, St. Petersburg"). The firm with its own workshop manufacturing silver and gold jewelry was a supplier for Highest Court until the 1917 when the revolution took place.
The bangle is set with five Old European cut diamonds (3 cts total) and four round faceted sapphires (2.20 cts total).
The pin is set with five oval faceted sapphires (2.55 cts total) and eight Old European cut diamonds (0.50 ct).
Materials:
14k yellow gold (hallmarked)
Old European cut diamonds – total weight approximately 3.50 carats.
Round faceted sapphires – total weight approximately 4.75 carats.
Measurements:
Bracelet: ¼” wide, fits up to 6.5” wrist
Pin: 1 ¼” long and ¼” wide
Weight: 28.9 grams
Condition:
Excellent, wear consistent with age and use.
Comes in the original fitted box.
