[ translate ]

**Originally Listed At $750**

Near East/Western Asia, Persia (Iran and Turkey), ca. 11th to 13th century CE. A gorgeous and huge 70% silver arm band, made of a wide, hollow bangle that tapers to a central ornament. The ornament is composed of a series of five bosses arrayed in a square with one at the center; each of these has a bauble at its tip, giving them a mammiform appearance. The surface of each boss has a repousse texture, with small depressions around its widest point. The contrast of the repousse surfaces and the smooth band give the piece an elegant appearance.
