A large and impressive Near Eastern bronze javelin/spear head, c. 1200 - 1000 BC, the blade tapers sharply with rectangular-sectioned midrib and rounded shoulder, rat-tailed tang with triangular recession and button base. L: 17 3/4 in (45 cm). Strong blade, nicely patinated. Ex collection of Allan Stone, New York.
