Impressive heavy 4-part silver coffee set. - .934 silver -Bennewitz & Zonen Amsterdam- Netherlands - First half 19th century

Imposing heavy 4-piece silver coffee/tea tableware. The set consisting of a baluster-shaped coffee pot with wooden handle, height 28 cm, teapot with ivory handle, height 13 cm (see document for ivory handle) , milk jug and sugar bowl. Early Biedermeier, anno 1832-1833 Meester Bennewitz & Zonen Amsterdam [see photo of the marks] Also marked S1 – Schöne Jr. Jan Berend 1st grade silver, weight 2170 grams. Inscriptie on bottom foot. Coffee pot – 28 cm high, spout to handle 22 cm, 968 gr. Tea pot – 13 cm high, spout to ear 22 cm, 533 gr. Milk jug – 12,5 cm high, spout to ear 14 m, 281 gr. Sugar bowl – 12 cm high, ear to ear 18 cm, 390 gr. Bennewitz & Bonebakker was the largest supplier of exclusive silverware in the Netherlands in the 19th century.
