Pre-Columbian, Central Peru, Inca Empire, ca. 1200 to 1532 CE. A hand-carved wooden loom stick with a slender body, an acutely-angled tip, and a projecting finial in the shape of an abstract llama. The charming llama displays a raised head upon a stocky neck with a short snout, backswept ears, petite eyes, and traces of red-orange pigment. A lovely utilitarian example from ancient Peru! Size: 1.6" W x 6.4" H (4.1 cm x 16.3 cm); 7.125" H (18.1 cm) on included custom stand.
