= The extremely rare first edition of this frequently reprinted work of devotional solace. Belgica Typographica 4643; BCNI 2192; not in Adams; cf. Valkema Blouw 2340-2350, listing editions published in the Northern Netherlands 1555-1600. On Anthonie van Hemert: Glasius, Godgeleerd Nederland, vol.II, p. 64-65 [listing i.a. this work]: "(...) waarschijnlijk in de eerste jaren der zestiende eeuw geboren, nam het monnikenkleed aan in het klooster der reguliere kanoniken te Woensel, in de meijerij van 's Hertogenbosch en werd later, nadat hij de priesterwijding ontvangen had, bestuurder van de religieusen te Soeterbeeck, in de nabijheid van zijn klooster.
