Over the years, it has been produced in a variety of sizes, materials, and colors; the Medici green color was specially developed as part of the “Réenchanter la villa Médicis” program, initiated by its director Sam Stourdzé, for whom India Mahdavi redesigned the Piano Nobile, including its historic rooms. The Medici Green Bishop is not available for sale; it is a signed, limited-edition piece. The Bishop was added to the collections of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris in 2017 and the Centre Pompidou in 2022. An architect, designer, and scenographer, India Mahdavi lives and works in Paris. Founded in 2000, her studio stands out for the diversity of its projects and activities. Multilingual and multifaceted, India Mahdavi has become a leading figure in her field, developing a unique visual language through each of her creations.
