International Collection of 54 Newspapers, 1852 and Later. Including a Sunday 1917 New York Times that features extremely fine, full page, Rotogravure, Sepia Toned Photographs. Some pieces published in the 19th century; the oldest being a 1852 San Francisco Daily Herald, an extremely old, very fine 1858 London Times and an 1888 Santa Rosa California Daily Democrat. The complete July 21st 1969 New York Times: MEN WALK ON MOON, over sized headlined newspaper, and a complete, COUP DÃ ETAT, oversized headlined September 20th 2006 Bangkok Post. Many famous, Full Color, Full Page Sunday Comic strips of Mickey Mouse, Jungle Jim, Shirley Temple, The Lone Ranger, Blondie, Barney Google, Prince Valiant, Donald Duck, Crazy Cat, Flash Gordon and many more dating from 1938. A collection that boasts oversized 1904 thru 1923, finely printed Rotogravures, on fine paper, in multiple San Francisco Chronicle Sunday Editions. Several pieces have headlines in Bold Over Sized Print; EXTRA JAPAN CASTS THE DIE FOR WAR; dated 1904, HITLER STANDS FIRM DEMANDS SURRENDER; dated 1938 and POPE IS DEAD; dated 1922. This collect documents many of the most important historical events at the turn of the century. Fine 19th century state of the art printing quality in an International Collection of 54 Antique Newspapers; each individually wrapped in Archival Sheathing to assure every piece is stored and kept in the finest of all possible conditions. The entire collection weights more than 15 pounds. Condition: Overall wear is very good, some darkening and foxing, a couple tears, wrinkles.
