Condition Report:
In good order and appearance overall, ready to use. With typical scattered chips and losses to carving and gilt surfaces revealing gesso, bole, and bare wood in areas as to be expected with age. Some age cracks and shrinkage. Some old inactive wormholes. With old repaired break to back of stretcher. The marble top with surface scratches, marks, small chips and losses particularly to the edges and with areas with minor discolouration and signs of infill or old restorations/repairs in places. With an old paper label adhered to reverse of frame that reads H17.
