In this rare and precious painting from the late 16th century, a young woman is depicted three-quarters facing, dressed in a rich gown with exquisite tailoring, made of pearl-white fabric with fine embroidery, displaying great elegance in her pose and in the painting technique.
With equal nonchalance, the face captures the viewer's attention, adhering to precise Renaissance beauty standards, as revealed by the high forehead, thin eyelashes, lively gaze of the eyes, and cheeks streaked with white and red.
To further enhance the work is the refined execution of the jewelry worn by the woman. Note the careful rendering of facial features, the attention to skin tone nuances, and the sharpness of the contours highlighted by the light.
