Ivor Novello, early/mid 20th portrait bust, patinated bronze, foundry mark Fiorini, London, 60cm high including wooden plinth. The Fiorini bronze foundry of Battersea has a long tradition of producing 'lost wax' bronze castings for well known sculptors including Henry Moore, Elizabeth Frink, Jacob Epstein, Alberto Giacometti and Eduardo Paolozzi. There is a similar bronze cast head of Ivor Novello in the V&A Collection, sculpted by the English Novelist and Playwright Clemence Dane (born Winifred Ashton (1888-1965)
