3) VI Varierte Choräle für die Orgel [BWV 654, 620a, 740, 614, 622 and 659a], für das Pianoforte...1. Heft, Frankfurt: Dunst, [1831], 13 pages, lithographed music
oblong 4to (c.24.5 x 32.5cm), inscribed label to cover ("Joh. Seb. Bach Orgelfugen und 4händige Choräle (Lichtenstein) Ernst Rudorff. 1894"), nineteenth-century paper-covered boards, binding somewhat worn; together with: a manuscript of: Fugue in G minor for organ BWV 578 and the Fantasia in G minor for organ BWV 542/1, notated in brown ink on up to nine systems per page, faded pencil sketches at the end, 9 pages, oblong 4to, 10-stave paper, early 19th-century, tear to one leaf

Marie Lichtenstein was the god-daughter of Carl Maria von Weber, and the god-mother of Ernst Rudorff, who acquired this volume and others from the Lichtenstein Nachlass. The G-minor fugue BWV 578 was first published in 1821, the G-minor fantasia BWV 542/1, in 1833.
