Persian manuscript on gold speckled paper, 356 leaves plus 1 fly-leaf, 21 lines to the page, text arranged in 4 columns, written in fine nasta’liq in black, ruled in red, green, gold, black and blue, 7 illuminated headings, the outer margins filled with stenciled interlacing scrolls with birds of different colours outlined in gold, in a brown stamped and gilt binding

40.8 by 24.3cm.

Condition Report:
In generally good condition, ownership inscriptions and seals throughout, some restoration to the headings with minor repainting, some splits to the pages, the outer margins vibrant with occasional smudging and stains, minor holes and restoration to the paper, some splits affecting the ruling due to the corrosiveness of the ink, as viewed.
