Japanese samurai daisho mounted Wakizashi in wood shirasaya. Two Mekugi pegs to handle. Habaki made of copper alloy. Tanto point blade is still sharp. Length of marked Nakago tang is signed Japanese characters. Wood saya is marked "19" in Japanese characters on one side, and a long set of markings in Japanese characters on the other side of saya. From the Edo - Meiji period.
