JFK's sense of style was undoubtedly a component of the charisma that propelled him to the Presidency. He can be seen wearing many different neckties in photographs, often with diagonal stripes such as this. Jordan Marsh was an upscale department store chain based in Boston, with stores throughout the Northeast. It changed hands several times and ended up under Macy's ownership in 1996, at which time the Jordan Marsh name was retired.
