Jaguar XK 150 Fixed Head Coupe
Registration Number: USP 164
First Registered: 10-09-1958
Mileage: 85,985
Engine Size: 3442cc
Colour: Green
Engine Number: V4220-8
Chassis Number: 5824475DN
V5C present

Launched in 1957 the Jaguar XK150 was the most radical step forward in the XK range since the launch of the revolutionary XK120. The XK150 was vastly different in both style and performance from the XK140 it replaced and was a much bigger step forward than had been taken from the XK120 to the XK140. The most striking change was the straighter wing line, widened bonnet and single wrap around windscreen, which replaced the now dated two-piece split screen. This gave the XK150 an altogether more modern look. More generous interior space was also achieved by putting the doors on a diet and the wooden interior was lost in favour of leather clad dashboard and door capping.
These were high performance, well-appointed sports touring cars and could cope with long distances with ease.
This XK150 was Registered in 1958 and has been the subject of a comprehensive restoration over the last several years and comes with a huge history file.
Presented in striking dark green metallic with a good panel fit and free from corrosion, the XK has also had some mechanical modifications and upgrades to improve performance, with its engine being bored out to 3.5 litre, larger carburetors from Jaguar 420G, improved ignition system, flame thrower coil and Mann oil filter conversion, and five speed gear box upgrade. A discreet modern radio is housed behind the period speaker grill.
Suspension has been overhauled as have the breaking system, and with a power steering conversion and recent re-trim this makes for a very exciting and useable example of this stunning marque.
A written diary also accompanies the history file with detailed service work, modifications and dates of work completed, original handbook and lubrication chart.
To many the XK150 Fixed coupe is the prettiest of all the Jaguar Coupes, and William Lyons himself famously said this model had the nicest lines of any Jaguar ever produced. Compared with earlier XK convertibles the 150 fixed-head are still relatively affordable and to many, one of the most beautiful Jaguars in the world.

. Older comprehensive restoration backed up by history file. Professional repaint, localised areas of paint blistering on drivers, passengers door tops and wing tops close to A-post. Non standard seats (original seats available from vendor) Re- trimmed interior. Good chrome work and tyres. Starts and drives well.
