Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, Jamacoaque (Jama Coaque) culture, ca. 500 CE. A mold-formed pottery whistle showing a standing woman with bared breasts and a skirt around her waist. Orange, cream, and blue-green pigments create a wondrous presentation, and the whistle mouthpiece is situated below the feet. Size: 3.8" W x 6.9" H (9.7 cm x 17.5 cm)

Provenance: ex-Marc Amiguet Schmitt estate, Amiguet's Ancient Art, Evansville, Indiana, USA, acquired prior to January 1, 2010
