The blade was forged in early Edo period, Keian era (1648-1652) by a superior Japanese swordsmith Korekazu 1st generation and signed: " Musashi Daijō Sakon Korekazu ". He was one of the best swordsmiths of the Shinto period, founded Edo Ishido school and led many excellent swordsmiths in the Bizen tradition. Toko Taikan : ¥4M , Fujishiro : Jo-saku (ranked as a superior swordsmith) , Ryo-Wazamono (maker of good sharp swords) . The blade has old full polish, "itame/ masame " hada, beautiful Ichimonji style active "choji midare" hamon .
