Japanese, possibly Meiji period. A large vintage framed three dimensional mixed media art hanging wall plaque. Inlayed with Semiprecious stones, including abalone mother of pearl, and additional natural materials. Modeled as a perched eagle surrounded by flora, tree limbs, and a smaller bird in flight. The oval frame is hand decorated with encircling flora. Partial paper label to verso, with hanging hardware. Good condition with minor wear. Measures approximately 25 in. x 18 3/4 in.
