Japanese Sword, Wakizashi - Tamahagane - Japan - 17th century

Antique Japanese sword, Wakizashi, from the 17th century or older. The Nagasa (length of cutting edge) is 47. 5 cm. There are no flaws. The blade is still meaty and not at all tired. There are a few small spots of discolouration on the blade. No rust! The hamon is visible. It runs all the way into the Boshi (tip) . The blade has a Horimono. The Kanji are reading: Hachiman Dia Bosatsu. The Nakago has two Mekugi Ana (holes) . It has a nice dark patina. There is no signature. The blade is Mumei. The tsuka has been recently braided with a new silk Ito. Very nice Same (rayskin) with big nodules. Fuchi Kashira and Kozuka have the same theme Sishi dogs. The saya is made of lacquered wood with Abalone. All in all a very nice sword in a good condition. The sale, purchase and possession of arms are subject to national laws and regulations.
