This work is part of an ongoing contemporary series exploring memory, movement, and human connection through scenes inspired by coastal life.
Created as a textured mixed media painting on canvas using two different artistic techniques, the painting combines acrylic paints and natural sand. The sand introduces a striking 3D effect, enhancing the tactile quality of the shoreline and giving the painting remarkable depth and realism.
Viewed from above, a group of children gathers on a bright shoreline, absorbed in a moment of play and shared experience. Their small figures contrast with the vast openness of the beach and sea, transforming an everyday scene into a reflection on freedom, community, and the fleeting nature of childhood.
Rather than documenting a specific place or event, the painting evokes a universal summer memory — a moment suspended between movement and stillness, where time seems temporarily forgotten.
